Heather Fairman is the Treasurer of Empty Hand Open Heart. She began training in Isshinryu Karate with Renshi Dickey in March of 2018. She earned her Black Belt in August of 2024. Heather earned an accounting degree and MBA from Baylor University in 1998. She has been a CPA since 1999. Over the past 25 years, Heather has worked in various areas of accounting, both professionally and as a volunteer for various churches and non-profit organizations. She is currently the Director of Finance for First Anna Church. She has been married to her husband John since 2002. He retired from the Marine Corps and is now a pilot for a major airline. They have two children, a daughter who is in college and a teenage son who also trains in Isshinryu Karate. In her spare time, Heather sings on the worship team for First Anna. She also enjoys working out and yoga classes.

Heather, as well as all our board members, and our founder, is an unpaid volunteer.
